The Birth Of The Healing Word Church

In May of 2007, The Healing Word Church was birthed,
In the little town of Pioneer California.

It began as the Holy Spirit revealed the call and anointing on
the life of Mary Ann Barcklay, to both herself and her Senior
Pastor. Mary Ann had been an Assistant Pastor for 12 years when
she was asked by her Senior Pastor what she saw God doing in her
life. She began sharing with him what she believed God was
speaking to her. She told him of the day she was driving through
Pioneer and was drawn to a small shopping center. The Spirit of
the Lord spoke to her, saying "I Want A Work Here".

It was confirmed through the Holy Spirit to her Senior Pastor; who
began the paperwork process with Foursquare International, to pioneer
a church in Pioneer. Eight months later the church opened in a small
area in the shopping center.
Less than a year later, a larger facility was needed. Within the
same shopping center a larger building opened up. Moving to this
larger space allowed God to add to our numbers.
Eight years later, the church moved once again. This time to the
small town of Pine Grove. Into a building with enough room for growth.
Though the area is different the mission remains the same.

"He sent His Word and healed them, and delivered them from their
destruction's."

Our Scriptural tenet is Psalms 107:20  ~NKJV~ ....."He sent His Word
and healed them, and delivered them from their destruction's."
the Lord had used this scripture many times to
bring healing to Pastor Mary Ann.

The Healing Word,  is a hospital for many to come to, and receive healing
through the truth of His Word. They are set free from lives of destruction
and sin, through the power of the Holy Spirit.

"Keep watch over yourselves and all the flock of which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers. Be shepherds of the church of God, which he bought with his own blood".

Since the beginning of the Healing Word Church, there has been three
assisting pastors added. Pastor Karen Rose leads the Prayer and Women's
Ministry. Pastor Vivian Wilson Leads the Children's Ministry, and
Pastor Dave Wilson Leads the Men's Ministry. And Of course they do much
more than just those ministries.
"The whole Bible was given to us by inspiration from God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives; it straightens us out and helps us do what is right. It is God's way of making us well prepared at every point, fully equipped to do good to everyone".
